An announcement on whether Victoria will come out of lockdown tonight is just hours away after the state recorded 11 new local cases of coronavirus yesterday.
In what is expected to be the state's most cautious lockdown lift yet, schools, beauty businesses, gyms and hospitality venues will be able to reopen their doors from tomorrow, depending on what figures are revealed this morning.
A decision is expected to be announced before lunchtime.

While the five-kilometre travel rule is expected to be scrapped as well, mask rules will remain for the foreseeable future.
Health authorities have said the decision on whether the lockdown will lift as scheduled won't be made lightly and if today's local infections or exposure sites are of concern, the lockdown could be extended further.
There have been 22 local cases reported across Victoria over the past two days with all of yesterday's cases in quarantine during their infectious period.
"Twenty-two cases over two days is a significant figure. It is not a risk that we take lightly," Health Minister Martin Foley said yesterday.
"We make our decision based on the most up-to-date data and advice from public health teams."
Two of yesterday's cases were linked to the Ms Frankie restaurant in Richmond.
The patrons dined on the night of July 15 and brought the outbreak total to 56 cases.

Nine cases were found in household primary close contacts: two cases linked to Trinity Grammar, two cases linked to Bacchus Marsh Grammar, two cases linked to AAMI Park, two cases liked to the City of Hume and one case linked to the Young and Jackson pub.
None of these cases triggered exposure sites as they had all been in quarantine and this is a determining factor in what today's announcement will be.
A decision is yet to be made on when crowds can return to the football and density limits will be heavily monitored when pubs, cafes and restaurants reopen.
