Melbourne train crashes into car stuck on tracks

A train has crashed into a car that got stuck on tracks in Melbourne's south-west this morning.

Police were told a car was crossing the tracks at a level crossing on Hudsons Road in Spotswood about 6.45am when it stalled.

The man driving could not get the car to restart, so he jumped out as the train approached.
