Brisbane on alert after new COVID-19 case detected

Brisbane has been put on alert following a new COVID-19 case.

Queensland Health issued the health alert today.

Anyone who visited DFO Brisbane (Airport) yesterday between 4pm and 4.30pm or the Brisbane Portuguese Family Centre between 7pm and 7.50pm must quarantine and wait for further advice from Queensland Health.

The case is in a female flight crew member who tested positive three times while in hotel quarantine, but returned a positive result last night.

Authorities are investigating the case and a contact tracing effort is underway.

Current restrictions in Queensland are still expected to lift from 1am Friday.
