A 76-year-old woman has been charged with the murder of a young boy who disappeared from suburban Brisbane about 50 years ago.
A homicide investigation began in August this year after police received new information about the disappearance of the three to four-year-old boy.
The boy disappeared from Inala, in Brisbane's west, between 1968 and 1970.
Homicide detectives have raided a property on Polaris Street in Inala.
The Child Trauma Unit and the Inala Child Protection Unit are assisting with the investigation.
The 76-year-old woman is expected to face Richlands Magistrates Court this morning.
