Video has captured the moment a fox brazenly snatched a permission slip out of a schoolgirl's hand in north-east Victoria.
The fox approached a group of students at a social event in Alexandra last week and ripped the permission slip from the girl's hand.
The astounding footage shows the fox slowly creeping up to the girl, before making off with the form.

But the girl did not let the fox get away with its sly act, chasing the animal until it eventually dropped the form.
The fox then returned and hung out with the students until they left.
