David Fuller, aged 67, from Heathfield, East Sussex, appeared at Maidstone Crown Court yesterday and admitted to murdering UK women Wendy Knell and Caroline Pierce, back in 1987.
Ms Knell was found deceased in her bed after having been sexually assaulted, beaten and strangled back in June 1987, while Ms Pierce's body was found later that year, three weeks after she went missing, dumped in a ditch on isolated farmland.
For over 33 years nobody was ever linked to the murders, until December of last year when police made startling revelations.

Following new evidence, including using advanced technology to match Mr Fuller's semen to found on the body of Ms Pierce, as well as matching a shoe print belonging to Mr Fuller to indents found at the crime scene of Ms Knell, detectives arrested Mr Fuller at his home where he lived with his third wife and teenage son.
They found substantial evidence at Mr Fuller's home to charge him with both murders, however, it was during it was during the search that the case took a disturbing and unexpected turn.
Detectives found mounds of computer hardware containing pornography, hoarded since the 80s, including hundreds of hard drives, memory cards and over 2000 obsolete storage discs on top of 30 mobile phones.
As officers continued their search through the home's contents, they also found a small cabinet stashed inside a cupboard.
When they pulled the cabinet away from the wall, attached to the back was a hidden compartment containing four hard drives.
On the hard drives, police found an overwhelming amount of footage of Mr Fuller recording himself abusing corpses inside the mortuary within the hospital where he worked.
