The operation included a police sting in which the AFP and FBI ran an encrypted app used by criminals, allowing them to see what was being planned.
Australian authorities have charged 102 people with a total of 229 offences.
Police say they have thwarted 21 threats to life and possible executions.
Among items seized were 72 guns, $35.8 million cash, more than three tonnes of drugs and 1650 devices holding the encrypted app.
As part of the raids, Australian Federal Police (AFP) and South Australia Police officers searched properties across Adelaide yesterday and made several arrests.
The operation started in the early morning and included a raid at a Rosewater house in which motorbikes, cars and jet skis were confiscated.
At a Hackham property officers took bags of evidence, some of which was related to alleged drug offences, while at Seaton a hydroponics store was raided.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison, Home Affairs Minister Karen Andrew and Australian Federal Police Commissioner Reece Kershaw and FBI representative Anthony Russo will give an update at 9.30am today.
As part of the global investigation, New Zealand police also arrested 35 people after raids across the North Island today.
They will appear in court today on charges of drug dealing, money laundering and other conspiracy charges.
