New South Wales is ramping up its vaccine rollout with a second mass vaccination centre set to open at a former Bunnings warehouse in the state's Hunter region.
The new mass vaccination centre, located in Lake Macquarie, will have the capacity to administer up to 20,000 vaccines per week and is expected to open mid-July.
Around 150 people will be employed to work on converting the site over six weeks.

"We are planning to replicate that model in the Hunter region, so we can quickly and safely vaccinate as many people as possible."
The news comes just under a month since the state's first mass vaccine hub opened at Sydney Olympic Park in May.
The Centre will administer both the Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccine, with bookings required.

The centre will employ up to 100 nurses, 25 pharmacists or pharmacy technicians plus around 200 other support staff.
The state has administered over 1.5 million doses of the coronavirus vaccine since the rollout began in mid February.
Australia's vaccine rollout is also speeding up with 832,000 vaccine doses given out last week around the country.
Australia has now passed five million doses, out of the 20 million adult population.
