Man arrested following Melbourne sexual assault

A man has been arrested following a sexual assault in Melbourne earlier this year.

A 30-year-old woman was assaulted about 6.20pm on Sunday, February 7 near Glenlyon Road in Brunswick.

A 27-year-old Pascoe Vale man has been charged with stalking and sexual assault.

He is expected to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates' Court today.

Last week, the victim Sarah* said was crossing Sydney Road when she noticed a man close behind her.

"That's where I've seen him approach from the side, and I've just become aware of him," she said.

The woman said she now feels "uncomfortable" walking the usual route she has done for months, instead opting to ride her bike.

"I refuse to change the way I live my life," she said.
