Alleged domestic violence offender escapes Queensland Police custody

Queensland Police are continuing to search for a man who allegedly attacked an officer and escaped custody yesterday after being escorted to the Warwick hatch house.

Clay Alvoen was being escorted by an officer from Warwick Court yesterday around 2.30pm when the 28-year-old allegedly headbutted an officer and fled.

The Stanthorpe man has evaded officers and is believed to have been driven away from the scene by associates.

Queensland Police are today continuing to search for a man who attacked an officer and escaped custody yesterday after being escorted to the Warwick watch house.

The man was before the court on drug, assault, bail and domestic violence (D&FV) related charges.

The man is described as having a fair complexion, approximately 180cm tall with a slim build, black hair and brown eyes.

The injured officer received treatment at the local hospital for a facial laceration.

Anyone with information concerning the man's whereabouts is urged to contact police immediately.
