A man will face court today charged with a string of domestic violence offences after allegedly kidnapping his mother and throwing her down an embankment in the NSW Snowy Mountains earlier this week.
The 54-year is accused of driving down the Snowy Mountains Highway towards Talbingo Mountain before forcing his mother out of the car and pushing her down a four-metre embankment.
The 75-year-old suffered serious bruising to her face and deep cuts along her arms and legs.
Police and ambulance services were called about 3.30pm and rescued the woman, who was taken to Wagga Wagga Hospital for treatment.
The man fled the scene, prompting a two-day man hunt.
Following inquiries, detectives arrested the man at a home on Elizabeth Avenue, Talbingo, about 5.45pm yesterday.
He is charged with kidnapping among a number of other domestic violence-related offences.
He has been refused bail to appear before the court today.
