Late last year Coles started stocking refurbished Apple iPhones from Aussie telco Boost Mobile - selling the iPhone 7 for well under $300.
The devices sold out in hours due to high demand, and now after a couple of months sourcing additional devices, Coles and Boost Mobile will tomorrow launch refurbished iPhone 8 devices for just $359.
These refurbished phones are pre-owned, likely returned at the end of a contract period through a telco or phone lease provider.

They are then put through a 72-point inspection to check they are in full working order and aren't broken or scratched.
Data on the devices is wiped, and they're restored to factory software and they also are cross checked against a national police lost and stolen database.

Perhaps most appealing, over a privately purchased second hand iPhone, the Boost Mobile Apple iPhone 8's being sold at Coles all come with a 30-day satisfaction guarantee and a 12 month warranty.
Coles General Manager of Non-Food Jonathan Torr told 9News the response to its earlier campaign was unprecedented.
"We were delighted to see the response from our customers when we first offered refurbished smartphones through Boost Mobile in late 2020," Mr Torr said.

"There is clearly very strong demand for well-priced, high quality refurbished smartphones and we are happy to roll this out to be a truly national opportunity for our customers after our initial trial, as we continue to deliver value for our customers in a more sustainable way.
"We know that the refurbished iPhones sell out very quickly so customers' need to get in early to avoid disappointment, there are no rainchecks."
In the last offering, Victoria and Queensland Coles Supermarkets missed out on the deal, mainly due to border restrictions.

Boost Mobile's founder Peter Adderton was keen to continue his company's value offering through the partnership with Coles, citing the success of the previous refurbished iPhone deal.

The refurbished iPhone 8 models go on sale tomorrow (January 27) at Coles Supermarkets nationally.
