Jailed man acquitted of drug trafficking due to Lawyer X scandal

The Lawyer X scandal has led to Zlate Cvetanovski's acquittal of drug trafficking convictions after he spent more than a decade in jail.

The Court of Appeal in Victoria today found there had been a substantial miscarriage of justice and there should be no retrial.

Mr Cvetanovski is the second client of Lawyer X, Nicola Gobbo, to have his convictions overturned.

Faruk Orman was set free last year.

Tony Mokbel is also appealing against his convictions over the Lawyer X scandal.
