A puppy has been found dead with a fractured skull in the backyard of a Sydney home.
The owners of a six-month-old chocolate Labrador – called Coco – returned to their Northern Beaches home at Cobbadah Place, Freshwater, about 3.15pm yesterday to find the puppy with head injuries and unresponsive.
They immediately took the dog to a vet but the animal died soon after.
The death was reported to police and officers have launched an investigation.
They have been told by the vet that X-rays confirm the dog had a fractured skull.
Anyone with information should call Dee Why Police on 02 9971 3399 or crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
