Wishing to remain anonymous, the winning mum confessed she hadn't slept much since the exciting revelation.
"I'm so sleep deprived," she told an official from the Lott.
"We found out early on Sunday morning and I don't think we've slept since.
"We marked the entry with numbers like birthdays, lucky numbers and special numbers. We even put down the number of chickens we have and other things around the house.
"These were actually our Powerball numbers and it was only on Saturday I thought I should use some of them for our Saturday Gold Lotto entry."
The winning numbers were 22, 17, 19, 29, 9 and 11, while the supplementary numbers were 14 and 21.
The ecstatic mother revealed she plans to buy the family's first home with the winnings.
"We're going to buy a house. Nothing crazy, just our first family home. Oh my goodness, this has literally changed our lives," she said.
"I keep thinking this isn't real. It makes me teary.
"This is going to make a huge difference to us. I feel very blessed."
The woman purchased her winning marked 12-game entry online at thelott.com – Australia's official lotteries provider.
Across Australia, there were 27 division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4061; with 10 from Victoria, five each from Queensland and New South Wales, four from Western Australia, and three from South Australia.
