Health care worker charged after alleged sexual assault of patient

A health care worker has been charged after allegedly sexually assaulting a patient at a health clinic in Sydney's southwest.

A 50-year-old woman attended a medical clinic in Chester Hill for an appointment in April.

Police allege an employee at the clinic sexually and indecently assaulted the woman while performing a medical procedure on her.

The woman left the clinic and reported the incident to police and an investigation was launched.

On Tuesday April 7, detectives arrested a man. The 40-year-old was taken to Parramatta Police Station and charged with aggravated sexual assault.

He was granted bail and is scheduled to appear at Parramatta Local Court today.
