Man stabbed after three offenders force entry into Melbourne home

A man has been stabbed after three offenders forced their way into his home in Melbourne's east last night.

Police have been told the trio stormed the Boronia property on Boronia Road about 11.20pm.

The offenders stabbed the man before fleeing the scene on foot.

A crime scene has been established as police investigate the attack.

"Police have established a crime scene and are investigating whether it was a targeted incident," police said in a statement.

The 24-year-old man from Boronia was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

No arrests have been made.
