Queensland man allegedly posed as rideshare driver, sexually assaulted passengers

A man has been charged with multiple sexual assaults that allegedly took place while he was posing as a rideshare driver in Brisbane.

Police allege the man picked up women from Brisbane City and Fortitude Valley between late September and mid-October and sexually assaulted them.

The 43-year-old Augustine Heights man allegedly dropped one woman at her North Brisbane home before following her home and assaulting her.

He has been charged with a string of offences including six counts of sexual assault.

Police believe there are other women who may have been assaulted.

They are urging anyone who believes they may have been driven by the man to contact them.
