More than half of all adult Australians are now fully vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccine.
The Federal Government said the nation has hit the milestone of a little over 50 per cent of over-16s having both doses after a record surge in people getting jabbed.
After being criticised over a slow start, the nation has just recorded its highest ever daily total - with 347,000 vaccinations done on Thursday, the government said.

In another record, two million vaccines were given out in just a week, with a total of 26m now in arms.
All but three-quarters of over 16's have had their first jab.
The Federal Government said Australia is now vaccinating at a faster per capita rate than France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, UK and the US did.
A state breakdown will be released later, but yesterday's figures indicted in the ACT, 90 per cent have had their first jab, leading the field, while Queensland is trailing with only 62.1 per cent of people so far rolling up their sleeves.

The nation's reopening plan hinges on coronavirus vaccination rates of 70 per cent, and then 80 per cent, in each state or territory.
GPs, pharmacies and state-run hubs - including drive-through clinics - are all doing vaccinations with AstraZeneca, Pfizer and Moderna, and you can book here.

The numbers are for eligible adults as of September 23.

New South Wales
In NSW, 84.1 per cent of residents have had their first jab and 56.6 per cent are fully vaccinated.
The state has revealed its lockdown exit plan, which will be triggered when 70 per cent have had both doses.
That's expected in mid-October.

Victoria
In Victoria, 75.4 per cent of residents have rolled up their sleeves once.
A total of 45.9 per cent are fully vaccinated.
Residents have been given a lockdown exit plan.

Queensland
The Sunshine State has given 62.1 per cent of people one dose, and 43.4 per cent have had both.

South Australia
A total of 64.5 per cent of South Australians have answered the call to get vaccinated - and 45.9 per cent have had both doses.
Western Australia
Western Australia might be ultra-cautious on reopening, but 61.8 per cent have had their first jab now, and 43.4 per cent are fully vaccinated.
Australian Capital Territory
In the ACT, 83.9 per cent of people have had one dose, and 58.7 per cent have both - the highest in the nation.
Northern Territory
In the NT, 64 per cent have had at least one dose, and 49.3 per cent are fully vaccinated.
Tasmania
Tasmania has seen 73.1 per cent of people come forward for one dose in a landmark for the state, and 54.5 per cent are fully jabbed.
