A man already suspended from driving was caught by NSW Police allegedly travelling more than 90km/h above the speed limit in Sydney's south yesterday.
The BMW sedan was clocked by police on Southern Cross Drive in Mascot, allegedly moving at 172km/h in an 80km/h zone.
Officers from the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command were performing duties as part of Operation Furious when they stopped the BMW, driven by a 35-year-old man.

Police checks revealed the man's NSW driver's licence was suspended until November 2021.
The man was issued a Court Attendance Notice for Class A motor vehicle exceed speed more than 45km/h, drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous, drive motor vehicle while licence suspended, and fail to notify change of residential address as prescribed.
His licence was suspended, and his number plates seized for three months.
The man is due to appear at Downing Centre Local Court in October.
