A Bondi man has been charged after allegedly being caught with more than two kilograms of heroin in a taxi.
Police said they were acting on "information" when they stopped a taxi on Newtown's King St at 11.50am on Friday, July 30.
The taxi had one passenger in the back, a 27-year-old man. Police spoke with him before searching the vehicle.

Officers allegedly found two vacuum-sealed bags containing brown powder.
Police said the bags were confirmed to hold 2.2 kilograms of heroin, with an estimated potential street value of $500,000 to $600,000.
The man was charged with supplying a commercial quantity of a prohibited drug, and with a COVID-19 breach.
He was refused bail in court on Saturday, July 31, and will next return to court on October 7.
Investigations are continuing.
