Consumers have been alerted of a product recall after a batch of dates sold at supermarkets around NSW were found to be potentially contaminated with Hepatitis A.
The NSW Food Authority issued a warning advising customers Picky Eaters Pty Ltd was conducting a recall of their one kilogram and five kilogram Jordan River Dates.
The product has been available online and at IGA and independent supermarkets in NSW.

The expiry date is June 2022 and batch number is JRD 1/2021.
The recall is due to potential microbial (Hepatitis A) contamination.
Food products contaminated with Hepatitis A may cause illness if consumed.
Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice and should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
