Seven people arrested after alleged stabbing in Melbourne home invasion

A group of men and women have been arrested after a man was allegedly stabbed and his luxury car stolen in a home invasion in Melbourne's outer south-east.

Police were told a group of men barged their way through the Berwick home just after 2am, kicking in the front door of the property.

A man living at the house was allegedly stabbed before being rushed to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The man's white BMW X5 was allegedly stolen and later seen on the Princes Highway at about 3am.

Police pursued the group, with the Police Air Wing following from the sky to the city's western suburbs.

Police said the alleged offenders fled after stop sticks were deployed on Palmer Parade in Derrimut.

Four men and three women were arrested nearby by police.

"They are currently assisting police with their enquiries," a Victoria Police spokesperson said.
