McDonald's and Bunnings Warehouse among Queensland exposure sites

A Bunnings Warehouse, McDonald's restaurant and a popular shopping centre are among the latest exposure sites in Queensland.

Queensland Health issued a public health alert this afternoon for contact tracing locations in Mt Gravatt, South Brisbane, East Brisbane and Indooroopilly.

A range of stores at Indooroopilly shopping centre are among the close contact venues.

Anyone who visited McDonalds Jindalee at Homemaker City, 12A Goggs Rd from 6.20pm to 6.55pm on Sunday, July 25 is considered a close contact.

Meanwhile anyone who visited McDonald's Jindalee at Homemaker City, 12A Goggs Rd from 6.20pm to 6.55pm on Sunday, July 25 is considered a close contact.

Bunnings at Mount Gravatt is a casual contact venue for those who visited from 7am to 7.35am on Wednesday, July 28 and from 12.30pm to 1.05pm from Thursday, July 29.

Queensland authorities introduced a three-day snap-lockdown from 4pm today for 11 local government areas, after the state recorded six new local COVID-19 cases.

Bunnings Warehouse on Wecker Road in Mount Gravatt is a casual contact venue.

The 11 LGAs entering lockdown include:

  • Brisbane City
  • Moreton Bay
  • Gold Coast
  • Ipswich
  • Lockyer Valley
  • Logan City
  • Noosa Shire
  • Redland City
  • Scenic Rim
  • Somerset
  • Sunshine Coast

Chief Health Officer Jeanette Young stressed the need for people under the snap lockdown to limit their movements.

"So, for the next three days, I just ask everyone: Stay at home. The only real reason you need to leave home is for healthcare or to provide support to a vulnerable person. Hopefully, people have got enough food at home," she said.
