Woman charged with murder of Queensland police officer

Police have arrested a 33-year-old Queensland woman over the alleged murder of Senior Constable David Masters.

Police will allege the woman from Caboolture was the driver of a stolen car which fatally struck Mr Masters just after 3am on Saturday, June 26.

She handed herself in at the Caboolture Police Station shortly before midnight last night.

The woman is due to appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on June 30.

Her charges include murder, arson and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

Her bail has been refused.

On Monday, authorities charged Kari O'Brien, 33,, allegedly the passenger in the car, with the murder of the Brisbane officer.

She has been charged with murder, arson and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
