Victoria records five new local cases of COVID-19

Victoria has recorded five new local cases of coronavirus, taking the outbreak total to 69.

More than 36,000 test results were received overnight.

Today's case numbers come after a second highly infectious virus variant, dubbed Delta or B1617.2, was identified in three of the state's cases.

The three family members, all linked to the West Melbourne outbreak, were among four new cases recorded yesterday.
