Fire on boat in Sydney's north

Emergency crews are currently working to extinguish a boat fire in waters off Sydney's Northern Beaches.

Crews were called to the fire roughly 100m offshore at Morning Bay in Pittwater around 8am.

Fire and rescue teams arrived to find the vessel well alight with large plumes of smoke pouring from the inside.

Fire and rescue teams have since towed the vessel to shallow water.

No one is on board the vessel and no injuries have been reported.

A crew, along with a crew from the Rural Fire Service (RFS), is responding from Church Point.

The cruiser is moored to another boat and booms will be placed around the vessels.

The boat is expected to burn out.
