Baby snatched from Brisbane home

Queensland Police have issued an amber alert for a baby girl they believe to be at "significant risk" after she was allegedly abducted from a south Brisbane home late last night.

Police say the one-year-old was taken by a man from a home on Wardell Street in Beenleigh late last night.

He left with the girl in a white Suzuki sedan with New South Wales registration plate CS3-4ZR and crossed into New South Wales at around 10.30pm.

The little girl is described as being Caucasian in appearance, around 50cm tall with blonde hair, a fair complexion and blue eyes.

She was last seen wearing a pink jumper, pink pants and a blue shirt.

The man police believe took her is described as Aboriginal in appearance, approximately 178cm tall with brown eyes and short dark hair.

Police urge the man, or anyone with information relating to their location, to contact police immediately.
