'He won't squeal': Queensland Police trying to find highway hog owner

Queensland drivers witness a would-be road hog yesterday, following the discovery of a lost pig wandering alongside the Bruce Highway.

Police and the RACQ were alerted to the solo swine at Elimbah just after 2.30pm on Sunday, following multiple reports from concerned motorists.

While the "little fella" didn't cause too much may-ham on the roadside, police are looking to reunite the supposedly domesticated animal with its owners.

"Serious chat time – this little fella has obviously escaped a Mother's Day sow prize party and was found living life on the hog beside the Bruce Hwy Elimbah yesterday," Queensland Police wrote on social media.

"We're not swining but he won't squeal, so if he's yours, please let us know."
