Charges laid over death of motorcyclist after highway ladder fall

Charges have been laid over the death of a motorcyclist on the Gold Coast last year.

The 53-year-old motorcyclist was killed when he was hit by a vehicle after swerving to avoid a ladder which fell from a ute on the Pacific Motorway at Nerang on November 2.

The driver of the ute, a 40-year-old Burleigh Heads man, has been charged with one count of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death.
