NSW records one new local COVID-19 case linked to Byron Bay

NSW has recorded one new locally acquired case since its 8pm deadline which is linked to a hen's party in Byron Bay.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian confirmed the person was at a venue at the same time as a cluster of positive cases who attended the party.

NSW usually reports new cases in the previous 24 hours to 8pm, hence the discrepancy between the official figures reported earlier today, which was at zero.
