Two people have been arrested after a woman was attacked with a hammer in a violent home invasion overnight in Melbourne's north.
Emergency services attended the property on Broadhurst Avenue in Reservoir about 2.40am, following reports the 35-year-old woman had been assaulted and had her bike stolen.
Police arrested a 43-year-old Maidstone man and a 23-year-old Warrnambool woman nearby.

"The pair are assisting investigators with their enquiries and investigations remain ongoing," a Victoria Police spokesperson said.
"Police are particularly interested in speaking with four witnesses who were travelling in a car and stopped to speak to the victim at the intersection of Broadhurst Avenue and High Street."
The Reservoir woman declined to be taken to hospital.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, was in the area at the time and has dash cam footage, or any other information, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
