Victorian COVID-19 testing sites forced to turn away people

Some COVID-19 testing clinics in Victoria have been forced to turn away those looking to be tested as scores of people rush to sites in response to a fresh outbreak in the state.

Peninsula Health informed the public that the screening clinic at Frankston Hospital would no longer be accepting vehicles due to "longer than usual wait times".

Those who are already in the queue will still be tested.

"Our staff will continue conducting swab tests for occupants of vehicles that were already in the queue, prior to 2pm this afternoon."

On Victoria's Department of Health and Human Services website, it said other locations were over capacity.
