A man accused of killing two Victorian police officers more than 20 years ago in Melbourne's south-east has had his murder convictions quashed.
A new trial has been ordered for Jason Roberts over the deaths of Sergeant Gary Silk and Senior Constable Rodney Miller.
The policemen were killed on duty while investigating a series of robberies at Moorabbin in 1998.
Jason Roberts and Bandali Debs were convicted by a jury of the murders four years later. Roberts has always maintained his innocence.
More to come.
