Queensland Police are reviewing a video that appears to show an officer striking a man from behind at a protest in Brisbane.
Refugee activists were demonstrating at Kangaroo Point yesterday afternoon when the alleged incident occurred and was shared online.
The footage appears to show a man pulling on a temporary fence before a police officer punches him from behind, causing him to fall to the ground.
Paramedics were called and the man, believed to be in his fifties, was taken to the Mater Hospital.

The group have been protesting against the treatment of a group of refugees who are detained inside a Kangaroo Point apartment complex.
Queensland Police said it was aware of the incident and "the interaction is currently being reviewed."
