Fourth man arrested over execution-style killing of bikie boss

A fourth man has been arrested over the "execution-style shooting" of senior Bandidos bikie member Shane De Britt in NSW earlier this year.

The 38-year-old man was arrested at a home in Orange this morning, with a search currently underway.

His arrest relates to the murder of the 60-year-old senior bikie, who was found with a bullet wound to his head at a property on Catombal Road, Eurimbla in January this year.

He was allegedly shot with a shotgun as his wife slept in another room.

"I would classify it as an execution, cold-blooded killing. Someone's been shot in their own house in the middle of the night," Detective Superintendent Danny Doherty said at the time.

The man has been taken to Orange Police Station, where charges are expected to be laid.

Earlier this month, detectives arrested three men – a 58 and 39-year-old at a rural property near Stuart Town, about 34 kilometres south of Wellington, and 22-year-old Brenton Hayes, outside the Menace Ink tattoo shop on Maughan Street, Wellington, earlier this month.

They were charged over their alleged involvement in the Central West chapter president's murder and remain behind bars until their next court date.

Homicide Squad Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Walpole alleged the men are part of a rival criminal network and more arrests are likely.

"These investigations aren't complete, and we anticipate there will be further arrests," he said earlier this month.

"Those people that we believe are involved, I would suggest they come and see us before we come and see them."

Police have executed a number of search warrants at homes and businesses so far and have collected several items in relation to the investigation.

Investigations are continuing and anyone with information that may help detectives is urged to contact CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000.
