Best-selling author and motivational speaker Fiori Giovanni has been charged with killing her seven-month-old baby daughter inside a Melbourne apartment in July.
Police were called to a property on Kavanagh Street in Southbank about 7.20am on July 18, where Ms Giovanni's baby Illen was found unresponsive.
Ms Giovanni in a video said she was "not ready to talk about it yet" as the incident was still "incredibly fresh".
"I tragically lost my little girl of seven-and-a-half months old a few weeks ago," she said.
"We are still trying to go through it as a family. It's a day-by-day process that I am learning to accept my new reality, learning more about myself in the process and how best I can move forward.
"The kind of pain that comes from losing a child is something that takes a piece of you and I don't think you'll ever get it back."
The 35-year-old was bailed to appear at the Melbourne Magistrate's Court today, charged with one count of child homicide.
