Double stabbing in Sydney's south west after clash between two groups of youths

Two men were stabbed overnight in Sydney's southwest, during a clash between two groups of young men.

Police were called to reports of an assault just after midnight, in Canley Vale Road near Derby Street, Canley Heights.

Two groups were allegedly involved in the clash, fleeing before police arrived

A 19-year-old man was treated by paramedics for multiple stab wounds, and a second man, aged 18, suffered bruising and a cut.

Both are stable at Liverpool Hospital.

A 23-year old man was arrested at 1.30am on Ferngrove Road in the suburb.

He faces multiple charges and was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today
