The mother of George Floyd's daughter has broken down in tears speaking about the milestone moments the father who was killed by police will miss.
With six-year-old Gianna at her side, Roxie Washington lamented her daughter no longer has a father.
"This is what those officers took from me," she said.
"He will never see her grow up and graduate.
"He will never walk her down the aisle.
"If there is a problem she's having and she needs her daddy she does not have that anymore."
Speaking at the rotunda of Minneapolis City Hall, choked up multiple times and was visibly distressed.
She said the officer accused of murdering Mr Floyd and those who stood by get to go home to their families.
"I want justice for him because he was good. No matter what anybody thinks, he was good. And this is the proof that he was a good man."
Some of Mr Floyd's family has joined thousands of protesters in his hometown of Houston.

Upwards of 20,000 people are expected in Houston.
So far the demonstrations have been peaceful.
