A man has been charged over the alleged theft of artwork worth $160,000 from a burnt-out shop following a fatal fire on the NSW Central Coast.
The blaze broke at The Entrance's Ebbtide shopping centre on October 20 last year and a 69-year-old man was pulled from the burning building.
He was unable to be saved by paramedics and died at the scene.
A teenage boy, 13, was charged with manslaughter and remains before the courts.
During a search of a unit in Maitland on Thursday, police seized 87 artworks valued at more than $160,000 in total.
A 50-year-old man was later arrested and charged at a worksite at Bateau Bay.
It's alleged he stole the artworks belonging to the deceased man while he was contracted to clean the fire-affected shop.
The artworks have since been returned to family members.
Investigators also found an air rifle, a pen gun, an electronic stun device, ammunition and prohibited drugs while searching the unit.
The man is due to face Wyong Local Court today after an appearance at Newcastle Local Court on Friday.
He's been charged with 10 offences including larceny and possession of unauthorised firearms.
