A body has been found on a popular Townsville beach.
Emergency services were called to The Strand after a deceased person was found just before 6.30am.
The body is believed to belong to a male.
A Queensland Police spokesperson told 9News officers were on the scene.
They could not confirm if the body had been in the water or whether the person died on shore.
